Changes to Iowa Medicaid could limit child speech therapy services

DAVENPORT, Iowa (WQAD) – A change to Medicaid coverage in Iowa has parents concerned about speech therapy services for children, WQAD reports.

Under the Iowa Health and Human services’ proposed plan, Medicaid would only reimburse one 15-minute therapy session per day, even though sessions last 40 to 45 minutes.
