The city of Ankeny has appointed Mike Schrock as city manager effective immediately, following a nationwide search. Schrock has served as interim city manager since January when David Jones left to join the city of Urbandale staff. Before that, he was assistant city manager since 2021. With more than 20 years of public administration experience, including 12 years as a city manager in Iowa, Schrock has overseen major city projects and supported Ankeny’s growth. “Mike Schrock has been a steady, trusted leader for our city.
