DES MOINES, Iowa — Gov. Kim Reynolds and Iowa Health and Human Services announced Iowa’s participation in the federal SUN Bucks program starting in 2026.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture approved Iowa’s waiver to align the program with the state’s new Healthy SNAP guidelines. Iowa will be among the few states allowing SUN Bucks purchases to follow Healthy SNAP guidelines, effective January 1, 2026.
