ISU sculpture of Jack Trice receives prestigious national design award

Jack Trice’s legacy at Iowa State University continues to flourish.

ISU’s “Breaking Barriers” sculpture, created by artist Ivan Toth Depeña to commemorate Trice’s legacy, has been named the 2025 CODAawards (Collaboration of Design + Art Awards) winner in the education category. The sculpture was selected from more than 400 submissions across 13 categories.
