Iowa lottery winner claims $1M Powerball prize at Clive office

CLIVE, Iowa — A Tama County man, William Zak, has won a $1 million Powerball prize with a ticket he bought in Benton County.

Zak, from Dysart, matched the first five numbers in the December 20 drawing, just missing the Powerball for the $1.434 billion jackpot. His ticket was one of eight nationwide to win the $1 million prize that night.
