The long-awaited Schainker Plaza still has no opening date.
The $4 million Steven L. Schainker Plaza, to be located across the street from Ames City Hall, has encountered multiple delays since 2024, most notably due to a yet-to-be-completed ice skating rink.
Though construction is ongoing, a completion date has not been set, Parks and Recreation Director Keith Abraham said.
