Record Farmland Sale Reported in Northwest Iowa

(Sioux County) KCAU reports a farmland sale in northwest Iowa has set a new state record for price per acre. Just over 31 acres of farmland northwest of Orange City in Sioux County sold for $1.13 million, according to KCAU.

The sale averages about $32,000 per acre, surpassing the previous Iowa record of $30,000 per acre, also set in Sioux County. The high price came as a surprise to some, especially given the currently low prices for corn and soybeans…
