DES MOINES, Iowa — Road closures, crashes, and white out conditions reported across northern and central Iowa Sunday due to Snow Squall and blizzard conditions.
High winds and blowing snow have caused deteriorating road and visibility conditions across the state since mid-morning Sunday. A majority of Iowa’s northern counties have posted travel not advised warnings and some have pulled road crews.
Snow Squalls have been issued across the state since mid-morning. The sudden white-out conditions combine with falling temperatures to produce icy roads in just a few minutes.
