DES MOINES, Iowa — It’s that time of the year again when many are thinking about their goals for 2026. Data by Statista shows Americans largely have health and fitness-related resolutions for this year, with the top goal being to exercise more, and the third being to eat healthier. Here in Iowa, that trend follows.
During January, both healthy food restaurant ProteinHouse and athletics facility Life Time see an uptick in business. Manager of ProteinHouse, Monse Parrales, told Local 5 between 20-30% more customers will visit the restaurant this month compared to December, and at Life Time, personal trainer Nick Fey said the new year brings a couple hundred new memberships.
