DES MOINES, Iowa – UnityPoint Health is releasing numbers that showcase just how many patients are testing positive for influenza, allowing Iowans to get a local look at a national trend of increasing cases.
Below is a list of the number of patients who have tested positive for influenza A or B at UnityPoint clinics from December 21 to January 7.
- The Blank Children’s ER – 282
- Iowa Lutheran ER – 73
- Methodist West ER – 79
- Iowa Methodist ED – 75
Leaders with UnityPoint say from December 13 to January 3, the number of positive results has jumped from 18 to 176 at Iowa Methodist alone.
