DES MOINES, Iowa — The Treasure Trunk Theater has expanded its programming for kids to get theater experience and engage in creative expression.
Director Robin Breen Fulton stopped by WHO 13 News to share upcoming performances and ways for the greater community to get involved and support kids theater. The performances at the DMPS preschools are on January 12 at 9 a.m. at Woodlawn, and 1:30 p.m. at Taylor. Additional shows are on January 13 at Mitchell at 9 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. at McKee.

The Treasure Trunk Theater is also delivering to clothing closets, as well as 24 community helpers to 34 preschool classes because of a grant from Business Women’s Association in Des Moines. These center activities are to support the Head Start theme of Real and Make Believe for that week. Since April of 2024, the classroom visits have also aligned with other themes like Active Me and Pets.
