MITCHELLVILLE Iowa (WOI) – The future of local government in Mitchellville is up in the air after multiple city leaders and the entire police department quit.
Public Works Director Chris Pruett made his resignation public Tuesday, writing that the “level of coordination and alignment between elected officials, former administrator, and select citizens is deeply troubling and unprofessional.”
Former councilwoman Piper Brodsack shared similar concerns in her own resignation announcement. She wrote that “due to the current political climate of our town, myself and others have faced harassment and threats,” adding that she could no longer represent the city in good faith…
