OurQuadCities(WHBF) — Iowa’s Ava Heiden has given opposing teams problems all year by averaging over 16 points for game.
The standout sophomore, however, has been dealing with a problem of her own: foul trouble. Heiden has fouled out once this year, and had four other games where she had four fouls. It’s a part of her game she’s paying close attention to.
“It’s hard. I’ve always been coached to go 110 percent, and I would say I’m like, as Randi (Henderson) calls, a wiggly post player. So I got to learn to tame some of those wiggles, especially at this level of play,”Heiden said. “Like, offensive rebounds, as I mentioned, I’m not crashing quite as hard on offense so I don’t get those over the back where before I liked to get some of those.”…
