MITCHELLVILLE, Iowa — The blows keep on coming for the City of Mitchellville.
First, a wave of resignations left the city unable to operate after losing a quorum of city council members. Then, the city’s former police chief and interim city administrator was arrested and charged with felony theft and felonious misconduct in office — charges tied to his previous role as police chief in a different Iowa community, the City of Baxter.
