WINTERSET, Iowa — A pedestrian was killed Saturday after authorities say they ran into the roadway.
One person killed during shooting in eastern Iowa
The Iowa State Patrol says the incident occurred near Highway 169 and E Madison Street, on the north side of Winterset, around 10:45 p.m. Saturday.
ISP says a Ford pickup was heading south on Hwy 169, nearing Madison Street, when a pedestrian “ran into the roadway.” Authorities say the pedestrian came from the east ditch and struck the side of the truck.
