INDIANOLA, Iowa — After serving the community for over 140 years, an Indianola hardware store announced it would be closing its doors at the end of the month.
McCoy True Value Hardware and Just Ask Rental announced in a post on Facebook that it would be closing permanently on January 31. The post reads:

We are deeply saddened to announce that McCoy True Value and Just Ask Rental will be closing our doors effective January 31, 2026. We are grateful to the community of Indianola and Warren County for the support you have shown us and our family in over our 140 years in business. We are heartbroken that we can no longer continue to serve your hardware and community needs. We will post more information on merchandise markdowns, adjusted hours and other plans soon. In the meantime, please shop local.
