Veteran community supports Reynolds’ bill to change VA benefits

MARSHALLTOWN, Iowa — The Iowa veteran community is supportive of Governor Kim Reynolds’ proposal to modernize the state’s benefit system for veterans.

The Governor announced in her Condition of the State address on Tuesday that one of her priorities for her final session is to make changes to the system that distributes benefits to veterans in the state.

“Governor Reynolds has always been a great friend to Iowa’s veterans,” said Karl Lettow, the Communications Officer for the Department of Veterans Affairs. “These are some changes that have needed to happen for a while, and we’ve known that.”…
