(Des Moines) The National Weather Service has issued a Wind Advisory for portions of west central and southwest Iowa. A Cold Weather Advisory for counties in central Iowa, and a Winter Weather Advisory for Northern Iowa.
*The Wind Advisory is in effect for Monona, Harrison, Pottawattamie Shelby, and Mills Counties, from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. today. Northwest winds are expected at 25-to-35 miles per hour with gusts up to 50 miles per hour. Additionally snow showers during these strong winds may reduce visibility making travel difficult.
*A Cold Weather Advisory is in effect for central and eastern Iowa from 1:00 a.m. to noon on Monday for portions of central and southeast Iowa. Wind chills are expected to dip down to as low as 20-to-25 degrees below zero…
