DES MOINES, Iowa — The Iowa Department of Transportation reported two semis flipped on their sides within 30 minutes of each other Wednesday along Interstate 35.
Due to snow on the ground, scattered snow showers, and strong winds. A Blizzard Warning was placed across northern Iowa until 11 p.m. early Wednesday morning. Wind gusts estimated to reach 60 mph, combined with poor visibility and slick roads due to blowing snow, were predicted to impact drivers.
