Iowa Gas Prices Drop Again as Crude Oil Prices Slide

(Des Moines) Gasoline prices in Iowa continued to decline this week, falling 4 cents from last week to an average of $2.47 per gallon, according to AAA’s weekly fuel report released Wednesday.

Prices are now 43 cents lower than this time a year ago. The national average for regular unleaded gasoline stood at $2.83, down 1 cent from last week.

Crude oil prices also moved lower. West Texas Intermediate crude fell $1.23 per barrel to $60.42, while Brent crude dropped $1.15 to $64.92. One year ago, WTI was selling for $76.79 per barrel and Brent crude for $80.57…
