Early morning Grimes fire traced to woodstove

GRIMES, Iowa — Johnston-Grimes firefighters are reminding the community of woodstove safety after an early morning fire Sunday.

Firefighters responded to a structure fire at the intersection of 240th Street and W Avenue around 7 a.m., according to the Johnston-Grimes Metropolitan Fire District.
