PLEASANT HILL, Iowa — One person was seriously injured Tuesday morning when an SUV and a DART bus collided head-on in Pleasant Hill.
Captain Amy Kramer, Public Information Officer for the Pleasant Hill Police Department, tells WHO 13 the crash happened just before 8:00 a.m. on NE 12th Avenue at N Shadyview Blvd. It appears a Jeep traveling eastbound was turning when it collided with a westbound DART bus, according to Capt. Kramer.
Des Moines street turns into demolition derby after OWI crash
The driver of the Jeep, an adult male, suffered serious injuries and had to be extricated from the vehicle by the Pleasant Hill Fire Department. He was transported to a Des Moines hospital for treatment. The driver and two passengers on the bus had minor injuries but declined medical assistance.
