WAUKEE, Iowa — Waukee was recently recognized as the fastest-growing Des Moines suburb with several major retail and residential developments.
Late last year, a Target opened as part of the Waukee Town Center project near the intersection of Hickman and Alice’s Road. Waukee Town Center continues to expand, with several retail announcements expected in the coming weeks. This area will also integrate public spaces like an ice rink and other areas for people to gather.
Farther south, where Alice’s Road becomes Grand Prairie Parkway, the Kettlestone Central development is also rapidly growing. Last year, the Kettlestone Sports Complex was opened, along with some apartments. Later this year, retail spaces and several restaurants will open in the area.
