DES MOINES, Iowa — The Des Moines Police Department is investigating after a shooting in the Drake neighborhood left one person hospitalized.
According to a release, officials responded just before 4 a.m. to the 1500 block of 22nd Street to a reported shooting.
On arrival, first responders found a 32-year-old man who had been shot in the chest. Patrol officers and then medics provided first aid at the scene before he was taken to an area hospital. Officials say he is in “critical condition.”…
