Neighbor’s post helps Girl Scout meet cookie sales goal overnight

WEST DES MOINES, Iowa — A local Girl Scout got one of the biggest surprises she could have asked for, meeting her cookie-selling goal in just one day.

Sixteen-year-old Girl Scout, Meliah Joshen, went to bed one night and woke up to her parents telling her that she had gone viral online overnight after her neighbor posted her door hanger online.

Meliah designed door hangers and posted them on her neighbors’ doors, giving people the chance to order Girl Scout cookies without having to leave their homes. That’s what caught the attention of her neighbor, Alyssa Hamilton.

Hamilton posted a picture of the door hanger online on Threads, and overnight, it had blown up with over 60,000 likes. People liked the idea so much that they bought the cookies, too. In just 24 hours after the post went up, Jaschen had over 1,500 boxes sold across the country…
