A house fire in Adel Friday night resulted in the total loss of the residence.
The Adel Fire and Police Departments responded to a structure fire report shortly after 4pm in the 21000 block of 290th Street, also known as Brickyard Road, outside of Adel. Upon arrival, crews found the house fully engulfed in flames. Due to the lack of nearby fire hydrants, water had to be shuttled from in town to the scene.
