It’s an exciting time for the Perry Bluejays wrestling team as the Bluejays had two wrestlers place second at districts to qualify for the 2026 state wrestling championships this week. Junior Townes Wilson and freshmen Hayden Splendore both placed second to punch their ticket to the Casey’s Center in Des Moines.
Splendore, in his first year with the varsity squad with the Bluejays, found plenty of success. Splendore, with over 33 wins this season with 16 wins by fall, and six by technical fall. Splendore scored a total of 198.5 team points to lead the charge for the Bluejays…
