Central Decatur’s Watson to make long-awaited state tournament debut

(Leon) — After three years of flirting with a trip to Des Moines, Central Decatur senior Kacyn Watson has finally qualified for the state tournament and appears to be wrestling at a high level as he prepares for the fun to come in Des Moines.

“I feel very good,” Watson said. “I’ve always been close, but never been able to make it. To make it…what an honor. I put lots of hours in and extra time on the mat in the offseason.
