Two Iowa Women Killed In 3-Vehicle Crash In Citrus County: Florida Highway Patrol

CITRUS COUNTY, Fla. – A collision in Citrus County on Friday night left two people dead and several others injured after a chain-reaction crash involving three vehicles. According to reports from the Florida Highway Patrol, the accident occurred around 9:00 PM at the intersection of US-19 and West Venable Street.

The incident began when a 27-year-old Lecanto man driving a Ford F250 southbound on US-19 attempted to make a left turn. State troopers say the truck turned directly into the path of a northbound Buick Enclave. The impact was severe enough to flip the Ford F250, which eventually came to a rest on the shoulder of the highway.
