DES MOINES, Iowa — United Way of Central Iowa has launched a pilot program giving free, essential rides around central Iowa.
Ride United launched in January, aiming to bridge the gap for people working toward getting reliable transportation while also needing access to essential needs in the meantime.

Rides can be requested with a pick-up and drop-off location in Polk, Warren, and Dallas Counties.
