West Grand Properties LLC, based in Urbandale, has acquired over 16 acres of undeveloped land south of Grand Avenue and west of Interstate Highway 35 in West Des Moines, Polk County real estate records show.
West Grand Properties paid Benjamin Lounsbury, Jean Lounsbury, Andrew Lounsbury and Brenda Lounsbury just over $4 million for the property, records show.
In November 2021, a local developer announced plans to develop a golf entertainment facility on the site. Development of the site stalled after some residents of a nearby gated community filed lawsuits challenging the city’s process of rezoning the property. A judge dismissed the lawsuits.
