Mitchellville fire chief dismissed after leadership concerns, code of conduct failures, city says

MITCHELLVILLE, Iowa — The city of Mitchellville’s fire chief has been dismissed, Mayor Tony Jensen told Local 5.

The city’s mayor told Local 5 Mike Twohey was dismissed on Thursday due to “serious concerns regarding leadership within the department and the failure to ensure that members of the Mitchellville Volunteer Fire Department upheld the City’s Firefighter Code of Conduct.”
