The Perry Community School District School Board announced Monday its choice of three finalists for the district’s next superintendent. The finalists are Tom Ryherd, Laura Skeel, and Dr. Michael Volk.
The Board conducted the search in partnership with staff at Grundmeyer Leader Services, who facilitated the review process for all qualified candidates.
Ryherd currently serves as superintendent of the Cherokee Community School District in Cherokee, Iowa. He assumed the role in 2023 after serving as principal at Washington High School in Cherokee. In both positions, he worked to expand postsecondary and career opportunities for students with local medical centers and community colleges.
