Prairie du Chien Weather: 9 Inches of Snow and 50 mph Winds Could Shut Down Travel Through Monday Afternoon

Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin – Blizzard conditions are expected to intensify Sunday afternoon across parts of southwest Wisconsin and northeast Iowa as strong winds up to 60 mph whip heavy snow into whiteouts, making travel dangerous through early Monday.

According to the National Weather Service in La Crosse, a Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 1 p.m. Monday for Crawford, Grant, and Richland counties in Wisconsin, while a Blizzard Warning continues until 7 a.m. Monday for northeast Iowa counties including Winneshiek, Allamakee, Fayette, and Clayton
