Starting April 1, 2026, new water rates will take effect in Ankeny under Ordinance 2251. The updated rates include a service availability charge and new usage-based charges:
- $7.82 per 1,000 gallons for the first 5,000 gallons used each billing period
- $10.96 per 1,000 gallons for all usage above 5,000 gallons
Service availability charges vary by meter size, starting at $10.96 per month for standard 5/8″ meters and increasing with larger meters.
