DES MOINES, Iowa — The Des Moines Police Department says they are investigating an early morning shooting that left one man dead.
Person stabbed in Windsor Heights, police say suspect detained
Des Moines Police say officers were called to the 3600 block of Kennedy Drive around 4 a.m. Sunday, after a 911 caller reported a shooting.
Officers arrived on scene and located an adult male injured by gunfire inside an apartment. Des Moines Fire Department medics began lifesaving efforts, but the victim died at the scene.
Authorities say the preliminary investigation indicates a dispute broke out between two people who were known to each other, which then escalated into gunfire. Des Moines Police say the suspected shooter fled the scene, and officers are actively attempting to locate them…
