(Des Moines, IA) — No one was injured after a firefighter fell through the floor while battling an early morning house fire near Merle Hay Mall.
Des Moines Fire Department spokesperson Laura Lyons says, “No injuries were reported. We did have one firefighter experience a fall into the basement. There was a hole in the floor, but they did not sustain any injuries and continued firefighting operations.”
