Lanes on Hickman Road between Westover Boulevard/68th Street and Merle Hay Road in Des Moines will be reduced from March 16 to October 26, 2026, between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. The lane reduction is needed for utility work tied to the CIWW Saylorville Water Treatment Main Replacement Hickman Road Feeder Project. Two-way traffic will remain open, but access to some streets south of Hickman Road will be limited during the project. Drivers should use caution, follow posted construction signs, and expect delays.
