The Carroll County Solid Waste is hosting its annual Household Hazardous Waste Drop Off Event this upcoming Saturday at the Des Moines Area Community College (DMACC) for residents. From 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., staff from Carroll County Solid Waste will unload vehicles with items that are considered hazardous and are not allowed to be discarded with the regular trash. For safety, there are items that are not permitted, such as ammunition, asbestos, electronics, latex paint, medications and more. For a complete list of items that will be accepted or not can be found included above. This event is just for residents only, and businesses, schools and farms must get prior approval before dropping off materials. Addition questions…..
