The wind swung to a more northerly direction Thursday at around 10 am in Des Moines, and temperatures have cooled again as a colder, drier airmass flows into Iowa. These conditions will be with us through Saturday.
Fire danger will be with us today, and also into Saturday. Dry and breezy conditions persist, and Iowa is in need of rain, particularly in the southeast.
