SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KCAU) — The shocking death of real estate agent Ashley Okland in 2011 has impacted how realtors across the country conduct business. Now, new safety measures have been implemented in the wake of her death to help create a safer, more secure environment.
It was April 8, 2011, when Des Moines real estate agent Okland was shot to death by Kristin Ramsey inside a model home. Her murder stressed the need for additional safety protocols.
