DES MOINES, Iowa — Firefighters were called out early Tuesday morning to Des Moines’ King Irving neighborhood after a garage caught fire.
The call about the fire in the 1400 block of Goddard Court came in just after 4:00 a.m., according to the Des Moines Fire Department. Fire crews were able to knock the fire down quickly, and flames were extinguished in about 15 minutes.

The fire was contained to the garage and did not spread to the house.
