Third teen charged in shooting death of 14-year-old in Urbandale

URBANDALE, Iowa — The Urbandale Police Department says a third teenager has now been charged in relation to a February shooting that killed a 14-year-old.

The incident occurred on February 22, Urbandale Police officers were called to the 3800 block of 64th Street on reports of a disturbance. Upon arrival, officers found a 14-year-old boy suffering from gunshot wounds in a parking lot outside of an apartment. The victim died at the scene.

Authorities later announced that two teens had been arrested and charged in connection with the fatal shooting. Urbandale Police reported a 13-year-old had been charged with going armed with intent, and a 14-year-old had been charged with going armed with intent – aiding and abetting…
