Des Moines- A Webster City native is hanging up his stethoscope for the last time today (Friday). Dr. Ken Cheyne is retiring from Blank Children’s Hospital in Des Moines. After more than 40 years of caring for countless young patients and families, mentoring future physicians and leading medical education, today will be his last one at Blank. He is a Webster City High School graduate. Dr. Cheyne attended the University of Iowa School of Medicine, served a residency with the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics in Madison and has a Fellowship with the University of Arizona in Tucson.
