Kona therapy dog brings comfort, joy to PCSD community

Kona sat alertly with tail wagging as her owner, Perry Middle School teacher Angie Beaudet, introduced her to the members of the Dallas County Area Retired School Personnel Association (DCARSPA) at their April meeting.

Beaudet was accompanied by Jordan Kovac, a fellow member of the sixth grade team at Perry Middle School, and Kathryn Gay from Lifeline K-9 Training. Together they told how Kona became a therapy dog in the Perry school system.

“This is somethings I’ve wanted to do for a long time,” Baudet said, “and at this point in my life, the time seemed right.”…
