The Guthrie County Sheriff’s Office arrests a Johnston man following an online sting operation.
According to court documents, on February 17th a Guthrie County Sheriff’s Deputy was posing a 15 year old female on a dating site and he was using a fictitious name. Court documents show that 39-year-old Charles Rash was allegedly communicating with the undercover deputy and he talked about his attraction toward the made up girl.
The criminal complaint shows that Rash asked about using Snapchat, where he sent three photos of his exposed private area. Court documents indicate that the undercover deputy gave several opportunities for Rash to stop communicating. Then on February 25th a search warrant was executed to Snapchat, in which the deputy found Rash’s contact information and he was able to positively identify Rash with his driver’s license photo…
