Iowa State Fair unveils lineup of free ground acts

DES MOINES, Iowa — We’re only about four months away from the 2026 Iowa State Fair, and fair officials have released even more entertainment acts.

New bike racks rolling out across Des Moines parks

On Thursday, the fair announced its free ground acts for this year’s fair. The list includes returning favorites like Bandaloni and Hot Glass Academy, as well as several new acts. The new acts are highlighted with an asterisk in the list below:

  • Chainsaw Carvers at Expo Hill
  • *ShenaniGuns! Comedy Wild West Show at Gate 15
  • Hot Glass Academy at Heritage Village, next to First Church
  • *Paul Bunyan Lumberjack Show at The Lawn, west of the Jacobson Exhibition Center
  • *The AmirrorCAN Men
  • Bandaloni
  • *Hillbilly Bob

All acts are free to attend. Biographies for each act are available on the fair’s website.

Earlier this week, fair officials also announced that professional rodeo was coming to the fair, with a Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association championship event taking place on the first two days of the fair. Tickets are on sale for the rodeos and can be purchased on the fair’s website.

The fair said it will be releasing its free concert lineup “soon.”…
