Des Moines Area Community College is set to increase its tuition rates for both resident and nonresident students for the upcoming academic year while keeping other costs flat.
The DMACC board of directors voted Monday after a public hearing to approve increases of resident tuition from $201 to $215 per credit and nonresident tuition from $231 to $245 per credit. This represents a nearly 7% increase in tuition for residents and an increase of just over 6% for out-of-state students.
According to board documents, no other tuition and fee costs will increase.
