DES MOINES, Iowa — A Dallas County judge ruled in favor of a lower bond for Kristin Ramsey, the woman accused in the 2011 murder of West Des Moines realtor Ashley Okland, court documents filed on Thursday show.
Judge Coleman McAllister ordered Ramsey’s bond set at $500,000, just one-quarter of her original $2 million bond but higher than the her lawyers’ request. Ramsey was released from Dallas County Jail just after noon Thursday after posting 10% of the bond, which is standard for many cases.
