A yearly spring fundraiser is happening soon in Dallas County.
The Dallas County Master Gardeners will be holding its sixth annual plant sale on Saturday. According to Horticulture and Conservation Program Educator Megan Will, there will be plenty of items to choose from, including annuals, vegetables, perennials, pots, garden tools and more.
“When you get a plant from a friend or somebody else, like a hosta, it can get really big and you need to divide it occasionally for the health of the plant. But then you can’t just throw that away. So as master gardeners, we re-pot it up and it’s a fundraiser for us. But then it gives you as the attendee maybe a hosta that you can’t find or a tomato plant. So it’s a great way to come see us to try a new tomato or a pepper plant or if you need chives or herbs that you’d like to add to your garden.”…
